Approved by the Education Department of Henan Province, our College, in partnership with the University of Kassel, Germany, has launched a higher vocational education program in Environmental Engineering Technology.
This three-year full-time higher vocational education program in Environmental Engineering Technology (Major Code: 420802) is scheduled to enroll students in September 2025. Students will complete their three-year studies at Henan Vocational College of Water Conservancy and Environment (HWEC). Upon meeting all academic requirements, they will be awarded a graduation certificate from HWEC and a corresponding course completion certificate from the University of Kassel. Those who satisfy the University of Kassel's admission requirements may proceed to an undergraduate degree program without an entrance examination. Graduates opting for employment will be recommended for positions at Sino-German joint ventures or German-owned enterprises in China. The core of this program is to introduce the teaching system of relevant majors from the University of Kassel into our College, including training programs, teaching plans, syllabi, professional textbooks, and a teaching quality assurance system. The School of Environment and Ecology is responsible for teaching delivery and organization. The University of Kassel will assign faculty members to teach at least one-third of the core courses and monitor teaching quality to ensure high academic standards.
