To solidly implement the fundamental task of moral education and talent cultivation, enrich the forms of mental health education, and effectively enhance the mental health literacy of all students, our university's "Heartlight Theater: Journey Towards the Light" 2026 Campus Psychological Drama Competition concluded successfully on June 9 at the first floor of Deli Auditorium. Vice President Wang Yuzhen attended the event, alongside heads of relevant functional departments, Party branch secretaries of secondary colleges, and all teachers from the Mental Health Center.

Co-hosted by the Party Committee Student Work Department, the Communist Youth League Committee, and the Mental Health Center, the competition was organized by the School of Civil Engineering and co-organized by various secondary colleges. Participating teams focused on contemporary college students' campus life, growth dilemmas, and psychological realities. They independently created and staged original plays addressing highly relevant topics such as academic prejudice, perfectionism-induced mental exhaustion, social anxiety, algorithmic manipulation, online dating traps, and campus anti-fraud. The creations cleverly integrated professional psychological counseling techniques and mental health knowledge, combining profound ideological and educational significance, vivid artistic expression, and practical value for psychological well-being.
The competition was spectacular and deeply moving. From vocational students breaking through academic prejudice in an inspiring journey of growth, to perfectionists breaking free from worldly shackles in a moment of self-awakening; from the inner reconciliation of those with social anxiety, to deep reflections on mental exhaustion in the era of big data; from vivid anti-fraud education to the clear exposure of the deceptive nature of online dating—the actors displayed genuine emotions and natural acting. They vividly portrayed the daily confusion, entanglement, struggles, and transformations of college students, triggering strong resonance among the teachers and students in the audience, accompanied by continuous applause.

Adopting the immersive educational model of "students performing, students watching, and students reflecting," this psychodrama competition transformed abstract and obscure mental health theories into intuitive, vivid, and accessible stage art. This approach effectively broke the rigid patterns of traditional mental health education, significantly enhancing the appeal, attractiveness, and reach of campus mental health initiatives, and truly achieving the educational goal of nourishing the mind through drama and cultivating people through art.
Moving forward, the university's Mental Health Center will continue to focus on the needs of students' growth and development, innovate mental health education formats, and deeply cultivate distinctive campus psychological culture. It will continuously create high-quality psychological brand activities tailored to the physical and mental development characteristics of young students, constantly improve and perfect a comprehensive and normalized campus mental health service system, and wholeheartedly safeguard the physical and mental health of students, building a solid psychological foundation and providing a protective shield for them to pursue their dreams and navigate their youth.
