The School of Civil Engineering was renamed and established based on the Department of Civil Engineering founded in 2004. It has seven subordinate departments, including the Party and Government Office, the Teaching and Research Office, the Office of Student and Mass Organizations, the Teaching and Research Section of Architectural Engineering Technology, the Teaching and Research Section of Intelligent Construction Technology, the Teaching and Research Section of Architectural Digital Technology, and the Teaching and Research Section of Architectural Decoration Engineering Technology. The School offers eight majors, including Architectural Engineering Technology, Intelligent Construction Technology, and Building Intelligence Engineering Technology, along with corresponding professional directions. In recent years, the School has presided over or participated in the development of one "Dual-Qualified" Famous Teacher Studio for Vocational Colleges in Henan Province, one project under the Innovation and Development Action Plan for Higher Vocational Colleges in Henan Province, one national-level professional teaching resource database for vocational education, and two provincial-level professional teaching resource databases for vocational education. Additionally, the School has chaired or engaged in four demonstration projects of curriculum-based ideological and political education for vocational and continuing education of Henan Province, six high-quality open online courses for vocational and continuing education of Henan Province, and one first-class core course for vocational education of Henan Province; two textbooks included in the Henan Provincial Planned Textbooks for Vocational Education under the 14th Five-Year Plan; and one science and technology innovation platform of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Henan Province. Faculty members of the School have undertaken 10 scientific research projects at the provincial and departmental levels, three provincial-level higher education teaching reform projects, and won four awards in the Henan Provincial Higher Vocational Education Teaching Ability Competition. They have also guided students to win two third prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition and nearly 20 first prizes in the Henan Provincial Higher Vocational Education Skills Competition.
